This
program is designed for newly diagnosed
patients, patients not receiving education
recently, and previously diagnosed
patients having difficulties controlling their
diabetes. The comprehensive program provides detailed
instruction in the ten content areas defined by
the ADA. This program offers support to your patients
for one year. (10-12 hours, 2 follow-up
visits)

This
course is intended for patients that have demonstrated
adequate skills and knowledge of diabetes self-management,
but need to be converted from oral medication to
insulin, or need insulin in addition to their oral
medication.
In this course patients are taught injection
techniques in addition to the interaction of meals,
insulin, and exercise. (4
hours, 1 follow-up visit)

This
program is intended for women who are pregnant and
have pre-existing Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes or those
who are diagnosed with gestational diabetes. The
program provides a thorough assessment, including
complications and appropriatecounseling regarding
diabetes and pregnancy. (3
hours, 3-5 follow-up visits)

Abbreviated
form of the comprehensive program recommended for
those who require general didactic information regarding
diabetes.
Note: Most patients who attend this program
decide to transfer to the Comprehensive Program
upon reviewing the information. (4 hours,
1 follow-up visit) |
